love wellness x maman v healthy iced matcha latte {at home recipe}

what you’ll need—

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 6 oz almond milk (cold)
  • 1 oz maple syrup
  • 1 ½ teaspoon golden milk powder (recipe below)
  • ice
  • cinnamon garnish

prepare the golden milk powder—

(recipe makes 1 pint, you’ll have a reserve to make lots of these!)

  • 1 cup turmeric
  • 6 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 3 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper

prepare the drink—

place ice in a tall glass and fill ¾ full with almond milk.

in a small bowl, scoop 1 ½ teaspoons of the golden milk powder and dissolve with about 1 ounce of warm water. stir this golden shot into your almond milk base.

pour in your maple syrup to the mixture, if you like it less or more sweet—up to you!

with an electronic frothing whisk, combine 4 ounces cold water and one teaspoon matcha powder. froth in a tall sided cup until full aerated and foamy looking. strain your matcha shot over the base of the drink.

sprinkle with a little cinnamon on top and enjoy!
